While it’s clear Cox Billy fashions himself after Tyler the Creator, what that means in the grander scheme is that “Black Comedy iiii” is one of the more interesting strictly hip-hop offerings from the first half of the year. It’s creepy, dark, menacing. His style is very skewed, much like Tyler. He relies on dramatics (as in every song has a drama-like production value) in terms of how he delivers his stories, much like Tyler. So while his style isn’t exactly a great compliment to Tyler’s, it is quite interesting in the milieu of Korean hip hop.
